Can't fetch available MCPs from custom registery

Describe the bug

Our company configured an MCP registry URL for Github Copilot. It works well with Github Copilot in VSCode, but in the CLI we see an error mentioning that the CLI can't reach the registry. I confirmed that the URL in the error is accessible. I even tried to ask the Copilot CLI to fetch it & it was able to tell me which MCP servers are there.

The error I'm getting when running /mcp is:

Failed to load online results: Error: HTTP request failed: error sending request for url (https://*********.azure-apicenter.ms/workspaces/default/v0.1/servers?limit=30)
