I get the error 3221225781 when I download models for Aegis and they don't work (I used a different AMD processor, nvidia 5070Ti graphics card, while vs redist is installed

Error code 3221225781 in hex is 0xC0000135, which is the Windows STATUS_DLL_NOT_FOUND status — a required DLL couldn't be found when starting a binary. That's separate from the VC++ Redist (having the Redist installed doesn't guarantee this other DLL is present), so it makes sense you're still hitting it with vcredist already installed.

Working theory: your RTX 5070 Ti is a very new Blackwell-architecture GPU. On Windows, Aegis auto-downloads a CUDA-accelerated llama-server build (windows-x64-cuda-12) for NVIDIA GPUs, and that build most likely doesn't include the cuBLAS/cudart DLL version needed for Blackwell, so it crashes on startup from a missing DLL.

Could you share the following to help confirm:

1. Your NVIDIA driver version (first line of nvidia-smi).
2. Which build actually got downloaded — check %USERPROFILE%\.aegis-ai\llama_binaries\<build>\windows-x64-cuda-12\version-info.json.
3. Whether cudart64_12.dll and cublas64_12.dll actually exist in that folder.

Workaround for now: in Settings, manually switch the inference engine from Auto/CUDA to Vulkan or CPU mode. The Vulkan build is bundled and doesn't depend on any extra downloaded CUDA DLLs — it should still give the 5070 Ti decent GPU acceleration while we sort this out.

We're also tracking this on our side to add real binary-validation on Windows and auto-fallback to Vulkan/CPU when an incompatible CUDA build is detected, instead of crashing outright.
